Facebook Profile Banner Canva Template

Why Facebook Profile Banner

Facebook is the #1 source of list building and client acquisition for me, especially when I first got started.

When I had no list, no audience, no name, no brand, even no skill or service to sell - Facebook was the place to be.

But let's get real specific.

When I say Facebook - I am talking about Facebook Groups.

OTHER PEOPLE'S Facebook group.

Not your friends list, followers, or your own group.

Other people's.

You have to get in front of other people's audiences.

Make yourself known.

Form meaningful connections.

I talk about this extensively in these 2 blogs posts:

Traffic Training

I dive deep on this topic in my traffic training which I strongly recommend you watch at least once.

The work required to find customers is explained in the above blog posts and training training.

And further, my course on "Facebook Organic Mini Course" takes it a step further.

Once someone gets curious enough about you and who you are, they will come to your Facebook Profile.

And your profile banner will be your digital asset to tell someone what to do next so they can connect with you and become a lead, potentially a customer.

You can also customize this banner for individual Facebook Groups.

And so, this template is very important for your client acquisition.

Micro-blogs in the comment section

I wanted to add something extra to this template release and give you an indication of what I mean by "add value in someone's group".

To start with, here is an example of a Facebook post in someone else's group where someone asked how big people's email lists which got a ton of engagement.

You see everyone's comments with just the list size, short answers and a highly engaged thread.

This is a PERFECT opportunity to "hijack" the comment section with a high-value comment that will surely stand out and get a ton of attention, which is precisely what happened.

This is more like a micro-blog.

See GIF Below.

Here is the actual text of what I wrote:

What a great thread.

For anyone that does not have a big list or audience and is just getting started.

Don't get overwhelmed by people's size of a list.

Without a question, building a list of 10K, 50K, 100K, and beyond, is an unreal commitment.

But just like Instagram followers, Twitter followers, a number like that does not always translate into money.

I know at least people with 10K, 40K and 62K email list that make little to no money with that list.

I know Instagrammers ("influencers") with over 200K followers who are only doing this as a side hustle and either living with their parents or working a job to pay for the bills.

I know an Instagram owner who build an incredible educational account in the business niche to over 20K followers, built an email list from that to over 1000, and couldn't sell 1 course to that list and following.

I know of an Instagram account that has over 150K followers who did an identical affiliate promotion with me.

I got 10X more sales than they did.

Numbers of email subscribers, followers, etc - these are what's called "vanity metrics".

Obviously, if you have 40K list, for example, engaged, and you know how to serve them, build a relationship with them, and monetize that, well you'd probably be a multiple 6-figure earner if not 7-figure.

And you should be living off passive income by now.

So obviously it is an indication of success too.

For anyone wondering, I have a list of about 1500.

However, I have personally spoken ON THE PHONE to at least 400 of them (I'm being conservative).

So you can imagine my list is super engaged, they open my emails, reply, and most importantly, buy my stuff when I promote things that genuinely help solve a problem for them.

When I started my list, I saw that as an advantage because I could afford the time to write to my list "hey, wanna jump on a call?" and actually do that and build a relationship with that person! (not just that 1 line obviously, I obviously gave them a reason to get on a call, but you get the idea)

Having a small list means you can really focus on building a relationship with that list which is far more important than having a number.

Is the relationship with your list that builds your business, not just size. Apologies for the "blog"!

I got carried away.

Hope you found this valuable at least.

When I say to add value, to stand out, to answer people's questions - that is what I mean.

It's a lot of work.

But it is totally worth it.

And as a finally statement on this:

Realize that every one of these super long helpful comments are great practice for your copywriting skills and your messaging.

The market (people who read your comments) will engage, or not, and this will give you an indication of how good that piece of content is.

The once that resonate, get a lot of engagement, will and should be further repurposed for all other pieces of content:

Blogs on your own website, Instagram captions, Facebook posts, emails to your list, lead magnets, video content, and even sales copy.

Once you truly understand the extreme value of what I am telling you here, your level of appreciate to this template and this strategy will go through the roof. πŸš€

Good luck!
